What is Reiki?
An experience for the mind, body, and spirit...
In today's world, the pace of life is fast, and we are in a constant state of motion--both mentally and physically. The result? Stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, and chronic illness. In a sense, we become disconnected from our true selves. Our mind, body, and spirit crave stillness and rest. When we slow down and take the much-needed time to fully relax, the body experiences renewal, and balance. The result leaves people feeling a sense of wholeness, contentment, and well-being.

Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle, spiritual practice done simply by placing the hands on the body, or hovering just above. It facilitates the balance of mind, body, and spirit, and is based on the teachings of Mikao Usui, who practiced and taught Reiki in Japan, in the early twentieth century.

Reiki is NOT massage, or hypnosis, NOR is it a tool to diagnose or treat specific illnesses. Reiki is NOT a religion. Rather, it is a gentle practice that facilitates balance in the whole system, allowing the body to begin the process of self-discovery and healing.
Reiki is restorative and peacefully relaxing. It helps to alleviate pain and muscle tension, stress and anxiety, depression, and fatigue. Reiki outcomes are unique to each individual based on the state of their system. After a session, clients often express feeling a sense of lightness, renewal, and overall well being.
